Completely assemble the mounting brackets first. Then install the windscreen on the brackets, but leave the bolts loose enough so that you can adjust the brackets if necessary. Next, you will insert the assembled brackets into the two open holes under your handlebars. This might require some gentle hammering until they are seated. Once you have the screen situated properly, tighten down the large bolts at the bottom of the brackets. This will expand the expansion cylinders inside the holes in your handlebars, holding the whole screen in place. Finally make any up or down adjustments for the screen on the brackets and tighten down the bolts that hold the screen to the brackets. Voila! New windscreen!
